Welcome
Hello again, YA patrons,
As the weather turns colder, we all find ourselves looking for things to do indoors.
A good book, with a nice cup of hot cocoa, is always a favorite diversion of mine…
or perhaps an afternoon spent crafting, watching a favorite film, or even a jaunt
outdoors to enjoy an early snowfall. All are appealing options.
We want to remind you that despite the cold, there are plenty of free options
available at your La Vergne Library. We strive to keep the latest, hottest titles
on the shelf for you to read, as well as periodicals, movies, CDs, and much more.
Also, every month, we offer a number of programs from craft days to recent release
movie screenings…and they’re all free!
The best way for you to enjoy all of this, of course, is to be an active participant.
Read new titles and new authors. Think outside the box. Be different (different is
great, believe me!) Come to our programs and share your ideas. Tell your friends
about all our free offerings. I also strongly encourage you to stop by and talk with
me when I’m here at the Library, or drop me a line at hfach @ lavergne.org. Remember…
I work for you! I want the Library to be as user-friendly and appealing as it
possibly can be.
Happy holidays to all, and let’s make 2010 the best year yet!
~Heather
